We’re sending one lucky midwife on an all-expenses paid trip to Bali, Indonesia! 

In the lead-up to the International Day of the Midwife (May 5), we’re hosting an Instagram contest to send one midwife to the 33rd ICM Triennial Congress for free, including flights and accommodations. The contest is designed to celebrate the relationship between women and midwives by inviting women and other birthing people who’ve used midwifery services to post a photo on Instagram along with a story outlining why their midwife deserves this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.    

We encourage our global community of midwives to share the contest rules with their networks. The winner of the contest will be selected at random and announced at our virtual IDM party on 5 May.

Get global attention for your local IDM event  

The International Day of the Midwife (IDM) is a truly global event, and we want to ensure our global community of midwives and their supporters is aware of the IDM celebrations happening in virtually every country around the world. For the first time ever, we’ve included a section in our IDM toolkit to profile the IDM events hosted by our member associations. From parades to pop-up clinics to virtual parties, midwives know how to celebrate themselves and the women and families they care for, and we want to support our members to amplify their IDM activities
