In celebration of International Women’s Day – where women and midwives around the world mark the inextricable bond between midwifery and women’s rights – we are pleased to share the toolkit for this year's International Day of the Midwife #IDM2023. This year’s version is different than anything we’ve done in the past. Not only will it support our members to promote their own IDM initiatives, but it also outlines our first-ever IDM contest, which will send one lucky midwife on an all-expenses paid trip to Bali, Indonesia for the 33^rd ICM Triennial Congress (June 11 – 14, 2023).

Through the theme Together Again: From Evidence to Reality, the toolkit contains everything you need to leverage IDM to advocate for increased investment in midwives and midwifery. This theme is also a nod to the upcoming Triennial Congress – a pivotal moment for the global midwifery community to come together, learn from one another and discuss efforts to action the evidence that unequivocally support the need for more and better-trained midwives in every region of the world.
